Privacy Policy
Effective / last updated: 30 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Lex Orbis Education (OPC) Private Limited handles personal information provided through the website, admissions process, AI-assisted admissions and learning platform.
1. Who this policy applies to
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by Lex Orbis Education (OPC) Private Limited through its website, admissions process, student accounts, course delivery, support and related educational services. It should be read together with any programme-specific privacy notice or consent presented when information is collected.
2. Information we collect
We may collect information that you provide directly, including your name, mobile number, email address, course interest, current academic or professional status, enquiry message, preferred call time, preferred counselling language, communication preferences, enrolment details and account information. We may also collect limited technical and usage information such as page visits, referral or campaign data, device or browser information, authentication events and learning-platform activity where needed to operate and improve the service.
3. How we use information
Personal information may be used to respond to enquiries, assess programme fit, manage admissions and payments, create and secure student access, deliver courses, provide learner support, communicate service or programme updates, prevent misuse, maintain records, measure website and campaign performance and comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
4. Consent and communication preferences
Where consent is required, we use the information for the purposes explained when consent is obtained. Optional website analytics is not loaded until the user allows analytics through the consent control. Users may ask us to update communication preferences or withdraw consent for optional communications, subject to any information we must retain or process for an active enrolment, transaction, security purpose or legal obligation.
5. Payments and financial information
Payments may be processed through banks, payment gateways or other authorised payment-service providers. Lex Orbis Education does not ask learners to disclose confidential banking credentials such as card PINs, CVVs, UPI PINs or internet-banking passwords through the website. Payment references and transaction records may be retained where necessary for reconciliation, enrolment, refunds, accounting and compliance.
6. Service providers and processor categories
We do not sell personal data. Depending on the feature used, information may be processed by service providers supporting website hosting and delivery, database and authentication, payment processing and banking, email or webhook notifications, analytics after consent, embedded learning media, security, and AI-assisted or voice admissions. Access should be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant service and subject to the provider's applicable contractual and security controls. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, court order or regulatory process, or where reasonably necessary to protect learners, the company or the platform.
7. AI and voice-assisted admissions
Where an AI or voice admission feature is enabled and a user chooses to use it, audio, text generated during the interaction, technical session information and tool inputs needed to answer the enquiry may be transmitted to approved AI or communications infrastructure solely to provide the requested interaction and related admissions support. Users should not provide unnecessary sensitive information through a voice session and may use the ordinary contact form instead. AI or voice interactions are not used to publish fabricated outcomes or testimonials, and optional marketing profiling should not be based on such sessions without an appropriate lawful basis or consent.
8. Storage, retention and security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or misuse. Retention is purpose-based rather than indefinite: admission-enquiry records are kept for the active follow-up and relationship-management period; learner and support records are kept while access, support, dispute or academic administration remains relevant; payment and accounting records are kept for applicable statutory or audit periods; and security records may be retained for a proportionate incident-prevention period. Records should be deleted or anonymised when they are no longer reasonably required, subject to applicable legal obligations.
9. Cookies, analytics and attribution
The website uses essential site functions by default. Optional analytics is loaded only after the user selects the analytics option in the website consent control. Campaign parameters such as referral source or UTM values may be stored with an enquiry to identify how a learner reached the website and to measure admissions campaigns. The analytics preference is stored in the browser so that the site can respect the user's choice on later visits from the same browser.
10. Student records and account access
Student accounts, enrolment records and course activity are protected through authentication and access controls. Learners are responsible for keeping their credentials confidential. Authorised administrators and service providers should access student information only to the extent needed for course operations, support, security, payment verification and compliance.
11. Children and younger learners
Where a programme is available to a person who is legally a minor, enrolment and personal-data processing should occur with the involvement or consent of a parent or lawful guardian where required by applicable law. We do not intentionally seek unnecessary sensitive information from children through general website enquiries.
12. Your privacy requests
Subject to applicable law, a learner, applicant or website user may request access to relevant personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion where lawful, withdrawal of optional consent, or clarification about how information is used. We may need to verify identity before acting on a request and may retain information where required for legal, security, payment, accounting or dispute-related purposes.
13. Privacy and grievance contact
The operational privacy and grievance contact is the Privacy & Grievance Desk of Lex Orbis Education (OPC) Private Limited. Submit a request through the verified Contact page and identify the request as 'Privacy / Grievance', together with the email address or mobile number associated with the enquiry or learner account. This route is used so that identity can be verified before account or personal-data changes are made. A dedicated published privacy email may be added when an organisation-controlled mailbox is formally designated.
14. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the website, learning platform, service providers, operational practices or applicable law. The latest version and effective date will be published on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through available learner or admissions channels where appropriate.
